Wishing Norwich is just around the corner

I grew up with a grandmother who creates lovely dresses by hand. Literally hand sewn and without the magic help of a sewing machine. I think I've practically hoarded a lot of those vintage couture clothes my mama and my aunts used to wear and have turned some of their hoop belts into chain mail bib neckpieces or bracelets which has become a part of my collection this May. Oftentimes, I have surprised them of what I have turned their old stuff into that are all apparently in the brink of losing it in the bin if I didn't rescue it much sooner. Me and my cousin Nico inherited that skill of ingenuity, while I alone got her passion for hoarding stuff that others find pretty useless.

I have once dreamt of becoming a fashion designer but went into an early retirement and just delved myself into becoming a spectator of sort. Discovering Louise Richardson, through a post done by Susie, made my heart skipped A BILLION TIMES over! As Susie puts it "she isn't a designer but an artist based in Norwich and is exhibiting her work at the King of Hearts Centre, Norwich from 16th May." I really wish it was just around the corner so I can go everyday as I have totally fell in love with the pieces she creates. Each and every piece is a memento that I would love to remember for the rest of my existence.

“I am currently looking at the idea of memory and identity, bringing universal messages to the viewer through the portrayal of objects in my own memory.”
